Htipiti
About the Recipe:
Feta is Greece’s most well-known cheese. Greek feta is made from sheep’s or goat’s milk, or a mixture of the two. It is tangy and crumbly, yet moist and creamy, and can range from very soft to semi-hard. Feta is commonly served as a meze, and is found in salads, side dishes, entrées and even desserts.
For a meze, you can marinate it with olive oil and herbs, broil a block of feta with pepper flakes, or whip it with peppers or spices. See Whipped Feta with Hot Pepper recipe. Serve with pita chips wedges, or warm Greek flatbread.
